Visite du Moulin d’Ancette

Jusqu'au 11/09/2022

Guided tour

The windmill was used commercially until just before the Second World War and then for domestic purposes (to make animal feed) until 1976. In 1991, the Friends of Saint-Julien-d'Ance association set itself the task of bringing local heritage back to life, including the windmill. Since then, the windmill has been turning once again and is open to visitors. The flour mill is still being renovated, but you can already see it in action: the water driving the horizontal wheel, the millstone and the blutoir (device used to separate grains).

You can round off your visit with a walk along the trail traced out by the LPO (bird protection league) taking you from Ancette to the Bourianne “larva flow”.

Visit on reservation for groups from May to November.
