The Abbaye de Doue has dominated the Loire Valley since the 12th century. It was very quickly entrusted to the Prémontrée Order who would evolve its buildings, its architecture and its decorations over the course of historical events up to the Revolution.
Description
After 12 years of restoration work and archaeological and historical research, the Abbaye de Doue opened its doors to visitors in 2023.
By exploring its walls, you will go back in time to discover the life of the Prémontrée and the history that lies in these stones.
