Visit one of the very first chateaux on the River Loire, 11 km north of Le Puy-en-Velay, in the Loire gorges. The chateau is still owned by a member of the Polignac family. This is a chance to see beautiful riches in an exquisite setting.
Description
For a thousand years, the Chateau de Lavoûte-Polignac has looked down on the River Loire. The residence of the dukes of Polignac contains a major collection of art works, paintings and archives linked to the illustrious family.
The château is open from spring to early November.
Visit last around 45 minutes.
Outside of visiting dates and times, visits can be organised for groups after reservation.
