DAY 1 : Explore Le Puy-en-Velay

Morning :
• Arrival before lunch in Le Puy-en-Velay.
• Lunch in a restaurant of the city.

Afternoon :
• Your group will be welcomed by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire,
departure for the pedestrian tour of the city of Le Puy-en-Velay. Visit of Notre Dame du Puy Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, classed UNESCO world heritage due to its position at the start of the Santiago de Compostela way.
A walk in the heart of a very old city.
• Installation in your hotel and dinner.

Le Puy by night :
• Departure from your hotel with the small tourist train.
The train driver will give you some explanations about the Puy des Lumières show during the tour (duration : about 1h30)
In 2022, the Puy des Lumières show will take place every night from 1st July to 11th September.

DAY 2 : Culture and local products.

Morning : Hôtel des Lumières show
The Hôtel des Lumières returns for a third magical season. The largest digital art centre in the region will propose 3 immersive scenographies with all the projection technologies that will cover the walls and floors of the Hôtel Dieu, classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site as part of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. Compostela, the chapel in lights will unveil a show with unique projections on the vaults and ceilings, animated by exceptional colour effects. The miniature exhibition Cathedrals of Light is renewed with the scenographies of the event The Region of Lights, on 8 models reconstituted in 3D.
• Lunch in a restaurant of the city.

Afternoon :
• Visit to the Forteress of Polignac.
• Visit to the Distillery of the Verveine du Velay, tasting of the famous Velay verbena liqueur.
• Return to your area.
