Your group will be welcomed by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire,
departure for the pedestrian tour of the city of Le Puy-en-Velay. Visit of Notre Dame du Puy Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, classed UNESCO world heritage due to its position at the start of the Santiago de Compostela way.
A walk in the heart of a very old city.

afternoon : pilgrim for a day from Le Puy-en-Velay to Saugues

Departure from Le Puy-en-Velay for a 90-km tour

Histoire du mythique chemin vers Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en Espagne,
chemin de randonnée et de pèlerinages depuis des millénaires. Circuit en bus à
proximité du GR 65, Via Podiensis.
1ère étape : Saint-Privat d’allier au coeur des Gorges de l’Allier, halte des pèlerins, nombreuses chapelles au fil du chemin.
2ème étape : arrivée à Saugues, sur les hauts plateaux de la Margeride, découverte du village.
visite du musée fantastique de la Bête du Gévaudan, histoire de cette fameuse
bête qui marqua le 18éme siècle.

1st stop : Saint-Privat d'Allier in the heart of the Gorges de l'Allier, pilgrim stop, many chapels along the way.
2nd stop : arrival in Saugues, on the high plateaus of Margeride, discovery of the village.

beast that marked the 18th century.
