Morning: Discovery of the Bouriane lava flow

Welcome and guided visit by a specialist in volcanism of the scree of Saint-Julien d'Ance: a river of basaltic rocks which extends as far as the eye can see in the middle of the woods. This interesting geological phenomenon allows you to see the force of erosion on the volcanic reliefs.

A unique volcano in Europe, it is in fact the only strombolian volcano which shelters in its crater a peat bog which has replaced the lake of the past. Overlooking the medieval village of Allègre, this 800,000 year old volcano can be discovered along a hiking trail which allows you to walk around its crater and discover an exceptional flora, rare species and a beautiful beech forest...
