A short and intense trail shaped like a figure 8. It starts with a steep climb to Douchanez, the trail’s highest point (918m), and includes a detour to the 12th century St-Etienne’s chapel.
The route then looks down on the River Allier, upstream from Monistrol, with great views over the Gorges and the Devès volcanic range on the other slope. The way back via the Peyre ravine is along a technically challenging single-track descent leading back to the starting point.
