Description

Volcanic pipe. The site contains the remains of a volcanic pipe. It is the perfect spot to see the hills and valleys of the Emblavez area and to understand how they were formed. Access: take the D227 road from the village of Beaulieu (follow the signs for “Volcans en liberté”). Parking: on the Blanlhac road, park near the transformer below the village of Recours (departure marker for the trail). Hike: 1 hour 45 minutes (round trip). The climb up the volcanic mountain can be difficult in places. Wear some good walking shoes. Interpretation panels explaining the origins of the Emblavez landscape. The site is part of an interpretation trail of the Emblavez area called the "landscape conversation” trail.
