Le Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques permet de découvrir le tronçon Le Puy-en-Velay – le Domaine du Sauvage, en Haute-Loire, en traversant les Monts du Velay, la Vallée de l’Allier et une partie de la Margeride avant de se poursuivre vers Conques en Rouergue. Accessible au plus grand nombre grâce à de nombreuses distances et de nombreuses topologies de terrain, le Grand Trail du Saint-Jacques n’est pas tout à fait un trail comme les autres. Fouler le sentier légendaire à contre-courant des pèlerins, s’en écarter à travers de nombreuses variantes secrètes, goûter l’hospitalité légendaire d’un territoire, pour finir en apothéose à la tombée de la nuit au pied de la cathédrale Notre-Dame du Puy en Velay, est à coup sûr une expérience mémorable !
