Exceptional heritage enhanced by the Puy de Lumières show
Since summer 2017, Le Puy-en-Velay has been the scene of a light-filled revolution. A night-time spectacle for visitors, taking in the upper and lower town and featuring the Le Puy’s major landmarks: the Crozatier Museum, the Theatre, the Town Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saint-Michel d’Aiguilhe rock and Saint-Alexis Chapel.

Puy de Lumières,
a unique light show
The town of Le Puy-en-Velay, with its unrivalled architectural heritage, has been shaped by volcanic activity. It is also the starting point for the Way of St James. In the daytime, Le Puy-en-Velay is the setting for some truly beautiful monuments, and when night falls they can be seen in a completely new light! A real treat for the pilgrims setting off the next day.

An incredible spectacle
Have you ever seen an erupting volcano? Or looked on at a dragon fight on slopes covered with red-hot larva? And what about a light-show on a mountain? The Puy de Lumières features 8 original and majestic sights.
The untamed River Loire is the setting for a double scene in 2018 with a light show on the Old Bridge and on the Brives-Charensac media library.
Every evening from 27 April to 30 September 2018, from dusk to midnight, this is a totally free spectacle to enjoy.
